Scale of the Game

One thing veteran wargamers will notice, is that the ranges described in the rules is set in yards. This doesn’t represent a literal set of three real world feet, but rather how far a yard is to your models inside the game. The exact real world distance this is, will comes down to the scale at which your play group as decided to play at, described on the table below.

ScaleYard is…Examples
25mm2cmDnd Miniatures
28/32mm1inwarhammer, wargames alantic, warlord games, etc
50/55mm4cm / 1.5inInquisitor models

For example, if a fighter has the capability of making a 6 yard move, this would be 6 inches at 28/32mm and 9in at 50mm.

Modeling Fighters

When you’re making the fighters for your warband, or just grabbing some that you have laying around. Do take into consideration the scale you’ll be playing at. The range of base sizes fighters can have will come down to the scale you’re playing at as described in the size section of the fighter’s characteristics. Either way, fighters will get bonuses for being kitbashed and or painted in a grim dark fashion. So, be sure to grab your grimmiest and darkest models!
